Ordinary income was JPY 826,110,000 compared to JPY 557,748,000 a year ago. Operating income was JPY 832,866,000 compared to JPY 575,821,000 a year ago. Income before income taxes and minority interests was JPY 29,054,000 compared to JPY 480,984,000 a year ago. Net loss was JPY 562,283,000 or JPY 60.58 per share compared to net income of JPY 285,204,000 or JPY 30.73 per share a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was JPY 5,082,468,000 compared to JPY 5,999,976,000 a year ago. Purchase of intangible assets was JPY 48,461,000 compared to JPY 14,543,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was JPY 3,945,966,000 compared to JPY 2,489,512,000 a year ago.

The Memory segment is mainly engaged in the contract wafer testing business of dynamic random access memory (DRAM) produced by semiconductor manufacturers and fabrication factories. The System Large-scale Integration (LSI) segment is principally involved in the contract wafer testing business of semiconductor products such as System on Chips (SoCs), image sensors and analogs produced by domestic and international semiconductor manufacturers and fabrication factories. This segment also operates contract final testing business.
