Tera Probe Inc. reported consolidated earnings results for the first half ended September 30, 2015. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 11,632 million compared to JPY 10,662 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 1,584 million compared to operating income of JPY 540 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 1,554 million compared to ordinary income of JPY 563 million a year ago. Net income attributable to owners of the parent was JPY 165 million compared to net loss attributable to shareholders of the parent of JPY 114 million a year ago. Net income per share was JPY 17.85 compared to net loss per share of JPY 12.33 a year ago. Profit before income taxes and minority interest was JPY 507.429 million compared to JPY 253.33 million a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was JPY 3,983.17 million compared to JPY 3,961.15 million a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was JPY 3,672.02 million compared to JPY 3,012.29 million a year ago.
The company provided consolidated earnings guidance for the nine months ending December 31, 2015. For the period, the company expects net sales of JPY 17,100 million, operating income of JPY 2,050 million, ordinary income of JPY 2,000 million and net income attributable to owners of parent of JPY 400 million or JPY 43.09 per share.
Tera Probe, Inc. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in wafer testing, and final test consignment. The Company operates in two business segments. The Memory segment is mainly engaged in the contract wafer testing business of dynamic random access memory (DRAM) produced by semiconductor manufacturers and fabrication factories. The System Large-scale Integration (LSI) segment is principally involved in the contract wafer testing business of semiconductor products such as System on Chips (SoCs), image sensors and analogs produced by domestic and international semiconductor manufacturers and fabrication factories. This segment also operates contract final testing business.
