Tera Probe Inc. reported consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of JPY 5,752 million, operating income of JPY 697 million, ordinary income of JPY 698 million and net income of JPY 465 million or JPY 50.13 per basic share as compared to net sales of JPY 5,028 million, operating income of JPY 33 million, ordinary income of JPY 28 million and net loss of JPY 106 million or JPY 11.44 per basic share for the same period a year ago. Income before income taxes was JPY 717,209,000 compared to JPY 30,236,000 a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was JPY 1,046,198,000 compared to JPY 2,128,146,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was JPY 2,407,434,000 compared to JPY 1,800,865,000 a year ago.
The company provided consolidated earnings guidance for the six months ending September 30, 2015. For the six months ending September 30, 2015, the company expects net sales of JPY 11,450 million, operating income of JPY 1,250 million, ordinary income of JPY 1,240 million and net income of JPY 780 million or JPY 84.03 per share.
Tera Probe, Inc. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in wafer testing, and final test consignment. The Company operates in two business segments. The Memory segment is mainly engaged in the contract wafer testing business of dynamic random access memory (DRAM) produced by semiconductor manufacturers and fabrication factories. The System Large-scale Integration (LSI) segment is principally involved in the contract wafer testing business of semiconductor products such as System on Chips (SoCs), image sensors and analogs produced by domestic and international semiconductor manufacturers and fabrication factories. This segment also operates contract final testing business.
