Podak Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2020. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 760.731 million compared to TWD 770.797 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 52.616 million compared to TWD 58.117 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 30.521 million compared to TWD 43.389 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.57 compared to TWD 0.89 a year ago. For the nine months, sales was TWD 2,159.696 million compared to TWD 2,034.080 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 167.157 million compared to TWD 147.370 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 112.587 million compared to TWD 121.162 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 2.1 compared to TWD 2.49 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 2.09 compared to TWD 2.47 a year ago.
PODAK CO., LTD. is principally engaged in the agent distribution of Panasonic passive products and Panasonic active products. The Company is also engaged in the distribution of other products, including batteries, relays, motors, connectors, surveillance system equipment, light-emitting diode (LED) tubes and home appliances. The Panasonic passive products include solid capacitors, electrolytic capacitors, plastic capacitors, power chokes and gold capacitors. The Panasonic active products include transistors, diodes, metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFETs) and LEDs. The Company distributes its products in Taiwan and Mainland China.
