Podak Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced total revenue was TWD 753.779 million compared to TWD 767.866 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 64.019 million compared to TWD 58.715 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 32.934 million compared to TWD 33.941 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.61 compared to TWD 0.63 a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was TWD 1,498.542 million compared to TWD 1,398.965 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 146.191 million compared to TWD 114.541 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 96.025 million compared to TWD 82.066 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.79 compared to TWD 1.53 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.78 compared to TWD 1.52 a year ago.
PODAK CO., LTD. is principally engaged in the agent distribution of Panasonic passive products and Panasonic active products. The Company is also engaged in the distribution of other products, including batteries, relays, motors, connectors, surveillance system equipment, light-emitting diode (LED) tubes and home appliances. The Panasonic passive products include solid capacitors, electrolytic capacitors, plastic capacitors, power chokes and gold capacitors. The Panasonic active products include transistors, diodes, metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFETs) and LEDs. The Company distributes its products in Taiwan and Mainland China.
