Apogee Optocom Co., Ltd. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was TWD 69.24 million compared to TWD 177.32 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 41.13 million compared to net income of TWD 29.86 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.06 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.78 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.06 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.78 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was TWD 140.31 million compared to TWD 354.54 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 72.95 million compared to net income of TWD 54.14 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.89 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 1.41 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.89 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 1.41 a year ago.
Apogee Optocom Co., Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the design, production and distribution of precision optical components, dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) key components, such as thin film filter (TFF). The Company mainly provides optical filters used as active and passive components for optical communication. In addition, it is involved in the optical coating for light emitting diode (LED) optical crystal chips. The Company also distributes spectrometers. The Companyâs products are applied in the local area network, consumer electronics, displays and others. It distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
