Ekitan & Co., Ltd. (TSE:3646) agreed to acquire Laterra International Inc. from Katsumi Haneda, Naomi Hojo and Chieko Haneda on November 8, 2019. As per terms, Ekitan & Co., Ltd. will acquire 0.66 million shares of which 60.4% from Katsumi Haneda, 25.5% from Naomi Hojo and 14.4% from Chieko Haneda. For the year ended January 31, 2019, Laterra International Inc. reported total assets of ¥300.7 million, net assets of ¥50.2 million, total sales of ¥305.4 million, operating profit of ¥26.7 million and net loss of ¥172.2 million. The transaction was approved by the board of directors of Ekitan & Co., Ltd. The transaction is expected to close on November 15, 2019.
