Siemens Mobility signed contracts valued at roughly 270 million euros ($287.8 million) to upgrade signaling for the train network in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The German company said Monday that it would upgrade the entire 170 kilometer-long S-bane network in the Danish capital to enable driverless train operations in 2030.

The contracts include delivery of onboard equipment for 226 new trains.
