French hydrogen producer Lhyfe announced on Tuesday that it would be carrying out its first project in the Ile-de-France region, with the installation of a production site in eastern Paris.

In a press release published today, the group states that this green and renewable hydrogen production site, based in Bussy-Saint-Georges, will have a potential output of two tons per day, for an installed capacity of 5 MW.

It is intended to supply, via direct pipeline, an Avia multi-energy distribution station operated by Thevenin & Ducrot, as well as an industrial player.

Lhyfe - which produces its green, renewable hydrogen by electrolysis of water - explains that the project is designed to meet the needs of mobility players using major transit routes such as the A4 freeway.

These include trucks, commercial vehicles, buses and coaches, pushers on the Seine, as well as several industrial groups.

The equipment is scheduled for deployment in 2026.
