Grupe, S.A.B. de C.V. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was MXN 822.8 million compared to MXN 846.05 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 26.98 million compared to MXN 140.78 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.4213 compared to MXN 2.1194 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.4213 compared to MXN 2.1194 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was MXN 1,712.54 million compared to MXN 1,625.05 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 158.89 million compared to MXN 292.16 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 2.4864 compared to MXN 4.5246 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 2.4864 compared to MXN 4.5246 a year ago.
Grupe SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company engaged in the hospitality industry. The Company's activities are divided into four business segments: Hotel Services, Timeshare, Real Estate and Clubs. The Hotel Services division owns and manages El Cid Resorts, located in Mazatlan, Cancun and Cozumel, Mexico. The Timeshare area is responsible for the operation and leasing of timeshare properties. The Real Estate segment focuses on the development and management of hotel properties. The Clubs area operates resorts restaurants and entertainment infrastructure, including marinas, spa services, golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools, events hosting, island tours, horseback riding, biking and scuba diving, among others.
