On Friday evening, Cafom, a specialist in home furnishings, reported slight sales growth for the first quarter of its 2022-2023 financial year.

The group, which notably operates the But, Darty and Habitat banners in the French overseas territories, generated sales of 109.1 million euros for the period from October 1 to December 31, 2022, representing a small increase of 1.6%.

Its overseas store division posted revenues of 72.2 million euros, up 3.5% year-on-year, including a 2% increase on a constant store count basis.

Cafom, which is also the majority shareholder in vente-unique.com, reports that its Continental European e-Commerce division posted sales of 38.7 million euros, down 1.8%.

The company explains that business suffered from an environment marked by strong pressure on sales margins, due to inflation in transport costs and the rise of the dollar.

Listed on the Paris Bourse, Cafom shares were down 0.5% following this publication.
