BRASILIA, May 1 (Reuters) - Brazilian mining company Vale said on Wednesday it would unveil its next chief executive officer by Dec. 3, following board approval in September of a triple candidate list to be presented by a consultancy firm.

The company said in a securities filing the new CEO would assume office on Jan. 1.

Current CEO Eduardo Bartolomeo will support the transition to his successor until February, after which he will serve as an advisor to the company until the end of 2025, it added. (Reporting by Marcela Ayres Editing by Chris Reese)
