Uchida Yoko Co., Ltd. (TSE:8057) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 400,000 shares, representing 3.97% of the outstanding shares for ¥1,000 million. The purpose of the program is to implement a flexible capital policy in response to changes in the business environment. The program will run until March 11, 2018. As of July 20, 2017, the company had 10,063,899 shares outstanding and 355,472 shares in treasury.
Uchida Yoko Co Ltd is a Japan-based company engaged in public-related businesses, office related businesses and information related businesses. It has three business segments. Public-related segment is engaged in provision and installation of information and communication technology (ICT) devices and systems, manufacture and supply of educational equipment, design of internal layouts, provision of furniture for educational facilities and local governments. Office-related segment is engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of office-related furniture, the space design and construction, manufacture and sale of office machinery and hobby craft-related products. Information-related segment is engaged in design and construction of business systems, development and sales of computer software, information technology asset management and information equipment and networks. It is also engaged in education and training business, temporary staffing business, real estate leasing business.
