(Alliance News) - Telecom Italia Spa announced Wednesday that the board of directors has defined its own list of 15 candidates for the renewal of the board, submitting a request that the number of members be dropped from 15 to 9.

Thus, the BoD unanimously resolved to propose the appointment of a 9-member board.

The list of 15 candidates includes: Alberta Figari, a new nominee, listed as chairman; Pietro Labriola, listed as chief executive officer, a position he will hold from Jan. 21, 2022; Giovanni Gorno Tempini, Paola Camagni, Maurizio Carli and Federico Ferro Luzzi as directors; Domitilla Benigni, Jeffrey Hedberg, Paola Tagliavin, Romina Guglielmetti, Leone Pattofatto, Antonella Lillo, Andrea Mascetti, Enrico Pazzali and Luca Rossi are new nominees.

In the expectation that the shareholders' meeting will favorably accept the proposal to reduce the number of directors to nine, the BoD unanimously approved to propose the corresponding reduction to EUR1.3 million gross per annum from the current EUR2.2 million of the maximum total compensation of the entire body, the distribution of which will be decided by the new board, the company explained in a note.

TIM trades in the red by 0.5 percent at EUR0.28 per share.
