Vivendi has announced that it will abstain from voting on the renewal of Telecom Italia's (TIM) Board of Directors at the AGM on April 23, considering that 'it is up to the current management and its supporters to untangle the delicate situation in which TIM finds itself'.

The French group does not support the list of candidates presented by the outgoing board, pointing out that the share price lost half its value under it, and challenging its decision to approve the sale of TIM's fixed-line network last November.

Consistent with the position it has always held, Vivendi will firmly pursue its action against the November 2023 board resolution before the Milan court and any other legal means at its disposal to protect its rights', it continues.
