April 25 (Reuters) - German flavour and fragrance maker Symrise beat first-quarter sales estimates on Thursday, citing higher demand driven by its scent and care unit.

Its January-March revenue rose 5% in the reporting currency to 1.29 billion euros ($1.38 billion), above analysts' average forecast of 1.27 billion euros in a company-provided poll. ($1 = 0.9341 euros) (Reporting by Bartosz Dabrowski in Gdansk; Editing by Milla Nissi)
