Riber, a manufacturer of equipment for the semiconductor industry, reported first-quarter sales up 20% to 4.5 million euros on Friday.

The molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) specialist reported that its MBE systems business grew by 6% to two million euros, corresponding to the invoicing of one machine.

Sales of services and accessories grew by 35% to 2.5 million euros.

Riber, which generates 71% of its business in Europe, 21% in Asia and 8% in North America, reports that its total order book stood at 34.4 million euros at the end of March, up 4% year-on-year.

With regard to its outlook, Riber says it expects further growth in sales and profitability in fiscal 2024.

The company expects to communicate an annual sales forecast at the end of the first half of 2024.

Following this publication, the share price fell by 0.7% on Friday on the Paris Bourse.
