Qualcomm launches laptop processor
The American group, which until now has specialized in wireless chips, says this new microprocessor will be based on its Oryon graphics chip, and is claimed to be 37% faster than its competitors, with 54% lower power consumption.
With this innovation, Qualcomm says it wants to set a new standard in mobile computing, enabling users to benefit from improved performance.
According to Qualcomm, the first laptop models equipped with the Snapdragon X Plus should be on the market from mid-2024.
The market for laptop processors is currently dominated by Intel, which enjoys a market share of around 80%, ahead of AMD, which controls around 20% of the sector.
