YTA Co., Ltd. acquired an additional 20.42% stake in Plant Co. Ltd. (JASDAQ:7646) from Miyoko Mitsuda, wife of President and Representative Director of Plant Co. Ltd., Katsunori Mitsuda on February 27, 2012. As a result of the deal, YTE Y.K. will become the largest shareholder owning 29.86% stake. Management system and performance of Plant Co. Ltd. will not be affected by acquisition.
YTA Co., Ltd. completed the acquisition of an additional 20.42% stake in Plant Co. Ltd. (JASDAQ:7646) from Miyoko Mitsuda, wife of President and Representative Director of Plant Co. Ltd., Katsunori Mitsuda on February 27, 2012.
PLANT Co., Ltd. is a company mainly involved in the operation of discount stores. The Company operates three types of stores under the names JOYFUL STORE, HOME CENTER and SUPER CENTER. The JOYFUL STORE is located in the urban areas, and primarily provides small-sized and small-sum groceries and other daily consumable goods. The HOME CENTER is found in the suburbs, and principally supplies Do-It-Yourself (DIY) items, garden supplies, food products excluding fresh food, as well as clothing. The SUPER CENTER is located in the rural areas, and mainly provides daily living-related products including fresh food and others.
