Kobe Steel Limited completed the acquisition of 25% minority stake in Kobelco Millcon Steel Co., Ltd from Millcon Steel Public Company Limited.

Millcon Steel Public Company Limited is a Thailand-based company engaged in manufacturing and trading of steel products. The Company manufactures and supplies products, including concrete steel bars, such as round bars and deformed bars used in construction industry; high tensile thread steel bars used in construction of high tension work; rolled steels, and structural steel products, including hot-rolled coils (HRC), cutting products and steel fabrication, such as slitting coils, steel sheets, flat plates, lip channel steel sheets and steel pipes used in construction, furniture and spare parts of automotive industries. Its subsidiaries include Millcon Burapa Co., Ltd., which is engaged in the businesses of manufacture and distribution of billet; Millcon Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., which is engaged in the production and distribution of steel products, and Suntech Recycle & Decarbon Co., Ltd., which is engaged in the business of production of scrap and trading steel products.
