Metavisio today announced its results for fiscal 2022. After sales growth of 50% between 2019 and 2021, its sales fell by 49% in 2022.

Sales for 2022 amount to 30.9 ME. International sales account for 48% of this total. EBITDA will be 0.4 ME, or 1.3% of sales, compared with 10.0% in 2021.

Operating income will be 3.8 ME, compared with 4.0 ME in 2021.

Net income will be a loss of 6.2 ME. This includes financial expenses of 1.6 ME (-35% compared with 2021), as well as an exceptional loss of 0.8 ME.

Net financial debt fell by MEUR 3.9 compared with December 31, 2021, to MEUR 24.5. Cash and cash equivalents at December 31, 2022 stood at 1.7 ME, compared with 0.6 ME a year earlier.

In 2023, Metavisio should see a recovery in sales in a market context that is once again buoyant, and following the signing of new distribution agreements with major players in the sector, such as Aldi and Lidl at the beginning of 2023.
