Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) announced the appointment of Mr. Haethum Samih Buttikhi as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective May 6, 2021, upon obtaining the approval of the Central Bank of Jordan. Following this appointment, Mr. Buttikhi expressed, on his behalf and on behalf of all the staff at JKB, his utmost appreciation and gratitude to the former Chairman of the Board of Directors, His Excellency Mr. Abdel Karim Kabariti, for the trust bestowed upon him and all the employees to preserve and build on the great achievements of Jordan Kuwait Bank. Mr. Buttikhi also mentioned in his address to the employees that he is optimistic that together they will be able to deal with prevailing challenges, as well as harness them to become opportunities that contribute to the Bank's growth and continuous development, adding that his optimism stems from his conviction that the Bank has exemplary competencies driving the Bank's achievements, innovation and creativity. The approval of the Central Bank of Jordan to appoint Mr. Buttikhi and the new executive management members comes after the General Assembly Meeting held the previous week, in which Mr. Kabariti stated that the decision to appoint Mr. Buttikhi as CEO of the Bank and his team from the executive management, comes with the aim of allowing the young energies within the bank to drive the necessary effort to meet the existing and future challenges. Mr. Buttikhi has extensive banking experience spanning over 18 years, during which he has held a number of managerial positions in the Bank; including the Manager of the Main Branch, then Executive Manager of the Private Banking Unit, followed by Head of Retail and Private Banking until his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer.
