FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF BOTSWANA LIMITED First National Bank of Botswana Limited announced the appointment of Dr. Mbako Mbo, as Chief Financial Officer, effective 1st February 2023. Mbako joins FNBB from Standard Chartered Bank Group (Singapore), where he was a Global CFO for Personal, Business Banking & Digital, having previously served as CFO for Standard Chartered Bank Botswana. Prior to joining Stanchart, Mbako worked for Botswana Development Corporation as the Corporation's CFO.
He also worked for the African Development Bank, based in South Africa as a Fiduciary Specialist for a portfolio spanning several African countries. A Chartered Accountant by training, Mbako also holds a PhD in Business Management and Administration from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He is an alumnus of the Harvard University Executive education and is passionate about business transformational agendas.
