Equinor: sharp fall in profits in Q1
On an adjusted basis, net income came to $2,836 million, down 27% on the same period a year earlier.
Adjusted EPS came to 0.96 euros, down 22%.
The Group's total sales reached $25.1 billion, compared with $29.2 billion a year earlier.
Anders Opedal, Equinor's Chairman and CEO, believes that the company has generated solid financial results thanks to a strong operational performance across the business.
''We are maintaining a value-driven approach to renewable energy growth. During the quarter, we secured significantly better terms for our Empire Wind 1 project in the United States and started production commercialization of the Mendubim solar power plants in Brazil', he added.
