Engie announces the appointment, effective January 1, 2024, of Thierry Saegeman as Group Executive Vice President in charge of Transformation & Geographies.

He joins the Group Executive Committee and will succeed Frank Demaille, who has decided to pursue his career outside the Group to devote himself to a new professional project.

Thierry Saegeman retains responsibility for nuclear activities within the Group, and in particular the finalization of the LTO project in Belgium.

In addition, Cedric Osterrieth is appointed Managing Director of nuclear activities in Belgium as of January 1, 2024. He will take up his operational duties at the end of the period of training and clearance by the Belgian nuclear safety authorities, with Thierry Saegeman ensuring continuity of this responsibility during this period of approval.

Cedric Osterrieth will also take over the general management of Electrabel, of which he will be Chief Executive Officer.

Finally, Vincent Verbeke is appointed Country Manager Belgium as of January 1, 2024, in addition to his current responsibilities within the energy management activities and as a member of the GEMS Executive Committee.
