Delta Holding announced that it has signed a management agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group for an InterContinental Hotel property in Ljubljana. The construction of the hotel in the Slovenian capital is planned to begin by the end of the year, with Delta Holding set to invest EUR 42 million ($47.8 million) in the project. The hotel that Delta Holding will build will have 21 floors, 165 rooms, two banquet halls for 500 guests, several conference halls, a presidential suite, a spa center with a swimming pool and a fitness zone.

Delta Holding announced that the five-star InterContinental, to be located in the New Belgrade district, is part of a pipeline of projects that also includes a new office building and a shopping mall that Delta plans to develop in the Serbian capital city. The construction of the hotel - which will have 220 rooms, a luxury spa center, a reception hall and a couple of smaller conference rooms, would last about one year and a half, Vasic also said at the time. The investment in the hotel's construction will amount to EUR 40 million which along with the EUR 35 million in land purchase costs would bring the total investment up to EUR 75 million.

The 416-room Crowne Plaza in Belgrade is the biggest among the hotel properties in the Serbian group's portfolio at the moment.
