At the upcoming NAB show in Las Vegas April 6 to 11, International Datacasting (a Novra Group Company) and technology partner Broadpeak® will launch a new version of the Novra S400Pro satellite receiver that includes integrated Broadpeak nanoCDN™ technology. This new product helps pay TV operators and others implementing ABR (adaptive bitrate) forbmats, such as HLS or DASH, leveraging their existing network equipment for scalable, low-latency delivery of live streaming video. The combination of the nanoCDN™ agent and the S400Pro enables delivery of ABR video content via satellite for multiscreen/multidevice playout.

Key features include: ABR format video— suitable for multiple devices (from big screen to mobile phone); Works with any IP infrastructure at the edge— from local Wi-Fi and Ethernet to 4G/5G and cable; Uses the latest open standards technologies such as MPEG CMAF for maximum quality and efficiency. Novra's S400Pro is a versatile, cost-effective satellite receiver that receives DVB-S/S2 and outputs IP data, including video streams for media players. Novra's family of satellite receivers, with over 80,000 installed globally, are widely used for applications such as weather networks, digital signage, media distribution, IP-TV and many others.

The S400Pro is the next-generation in satellite family and features a Linux OS, dual satellite inputs, dual LAN outputs, a USB port, on-board storage, SNMP and throughput of over 100 Mb/s. A DVB-S2X version will be available later in the year. Broadpeak's nanoCDN™ makes it possible to deliver adaptive bitrate formats (HLS, DASH) over satellite, and therefore reach tablets, smartphones or other connected devices with a stream that has the quality of DTH broadcast. Adopting adaptive bitrate formats on satellite also allows merging satellite and OTT video offer into one consistent experience.

The S400Pro and nanoCDN™ will be on display at the National Association of Broadcasters NAB show in Las Vegas, April 6-11. International Datacasting/Novra Group will be in South Hall, booth SU3621, Broadpeak in Booth SU9221.
