AST SpaceMobile reached a deal to provide satellite broadband to AT&T customers' phones, the companies said Wednesday.

The two companies had previously worked together under a memorandum of understanding. The commercial agreement extends until 2030.

AT&T will work with AST SpaceMobile to develop, test and troubleshoot the technology for satellite coverage of the continental U.S.

AT&T's head of network Chris Sambar will also join AST's board soon, the companies said.

The companies did not disclose any financial terms of the commercial agreement.

AST SpaceMobile said it was continuing advanced discussions with additional strategic partners.
