Alstom announced that it had won the Hydrogen Mobility Award on April 24 at the Canadian Hydrogen Convention 2024 Awards Gala in Edmonton, Alberta.

The award was given in recognition of the impact of this innovation project on the development of green mobility and zero-emission propulsion solutions in Canada.

We are proud to receive this award in recognition of the commissioning of the first hydrogen train in the Americas," said Michael Keroullé, President of Alstom Americas.

' This is a testament to the innovation happening across Canada in green energy, as well as the expertise of Alstom suppliers and staff who work every day to bring low-carbon transportation options to people in Canada and around the world. '

As a reminder, Alstom's Coradia iLint is the first hydrogen-powered train in commercial service in the Americas. It has already carried more than 10,000 passengers in a demonstration project in Quebec that ran from mid-June to the end of September 2023.
