Alchip Technologies, Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was TWD 7,928.47 million compared to TWD 2,974.64 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 734.89 million compared to TWD 428.05 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 10.16 compared to TWD 6.01 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 9.7 compared to TWD 5.76 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was TWD 13,644.9 million compared to TWD 5,591.68 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 1,317.37 million compared to TWD 876.61 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 18.25 compared to TWD 12.33 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 17.53 compared to TWD 11.74 a year ago.
Alchip Technologies, Ltd. is principally engaged in the research, development, design and manufacturing of application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and system-on-chip (SoC) products. The Company is also involved in the non-recurring engineering of wafers, which provides IC design component database and semiconductor intellectual property (SIP), and designs and tests products produced by its original equipment manufacturer for clients. The Company also offers wafer back-end manufacturing, packaging and testing services. The Company's main products are mainly applied in digital televisions, communications network, other consumer electronics, communication equipment, medical devices and automobile electronics, among others. The Company distributes its products in domestic markets, and to Japan and mainland China.
