Air Berlin PLC (XTRA:AB1), Luftverkehrsunternehmen Atlantis AG and Air Berlin Technik GmbH attended meetings today. They discussed the bidding offers received for airberlin or parts of the company in great detail. Frank Kebekus, airberlin's chief representative in the insolvency proceedings, Lucas Flother, an administrator appointed by the District Court of Charlottenburg, and the Chief Executive Officer of airberlin, Thomas Winkelmann, were instructed to continue their negotiations with the bidders and come to an agreement. A special feature is that the bidding process for airberlin technik, with approximately 850 employees, will be dealt with in a later stage in the bidding process for airberlin's airline. This is due to the fact that investors interested in acquiring ABT need to be clear about the developments of the airline in order to deal more fully with ABT and submit an appropriate offer. The schedule for the ABT bidding process therefore requires that bidders submit their offers by October 6, 2017. This will be followed by an evaluation of the various offers. There are parties who have also expressed an interest in this division of airberlin. Talks with potential investors have provided positive feedback.
