Voltas Limited Appoints Noel N Tata as Non Executive Chairman

The Board Meeting of the Voltas Limited held on August 2, 2017, the Directors have based on the recommendation of Nomination and Remuneration Committee, approved the appointment of Mr. Noel N Tata as the Chairman of the company, in view of retirement of Mr. Ishaat Hussain. Mr. Noel N Tata, will take charge as Non Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from September 1, 2017. Mr. Noel N Tata, is a Director of Voltas Limited for the past over 14 years, since January 2003. In addition, he is the Chairman of Tata Investment Corporation Limited and Trent Limited and Managing Director of Tata International Limited. He is also on the Board of several other companies, including Titan Company Limited and Smiths Group plc.
Voltas Limited is an India-based air conditioning and engineering solutions provider and a projects specialist. The Company's segments include Unitary Cooling Products, Electro - Mechanical Projects and Services, and Engineering Products and Services. Unitary Cooling Products segment includes manufacturing, selling and after sales services of cooling appliances and cold storage products, and facilities maintenance and hard services, such as operations and maintenance contracts in various sectors, retrofits and energy management, among others. Electro - Mechanical Projects and Services segment includes electro-mechanical projects, such as electricals, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, extra low voltage and specialized services, and water solutions, such as comprises water treatment solutions for industrial, oil and gas and domestic sewage segments, among others. Engineering Products and Services segment includes textile machinery and mining and construction equipment.
