Volex plc provided earnings guidance for the year ending March 31, 2013. For the period, the company expects its revenue and profit will fall short of company's prior expectations. Whilst total Group revenues for the full year are anticipated to show year-on-year growth of approximately 5%, the lower than expected Consumer revenue and resulting loss of operational leverage will impact the reported operating profit, which Management now expects to be broadly in line with that of fiscal year 2012.

These lower growth expectations are driven primarily by a delay in product launches and a change in product component strategy by its largest customer.
