Further Update on Group's Manufacturing Operations in Malaysia, USA and Singapore

SINGAPORE, 6 April 2020:

Following its earlier update on March 25, 2020, SGX Mainboard-listed UMS Holdings Limited ("UMS" or "The Group") has today announced a further update on the Group's manufacturing operations in Malaysia, USA and Singapore.

Since the Malaysian Government's movement control order (MCO) issued on March 18, 2020 nationwide to address the Covid-19 outbreak, the Group's Penang factory had been closed.

The Group has now received approval from the Malaysian authorities for its Penang factory to resume operations at a minimal level with effect from today. The Group will adhere to strict measures put in place by the Malaysian health ministry.

Integrated Manufacturing Technologies Inc,, the Group's factory in California, USA, which had been closed in compliance with the California State's "Shelter in Place" Executive Order in the USA issued on March 19, 2020 has also resume operations at a limited level. Its continued operation is deemed necessary to maintain the continuity of operations of the USA federal critical infrastructure sectors.

As a manufacturer of essential products such as semiconductors, UMS' production facilities in Singapore will not be affected by the Singapore Government's recent "circuit breaker" measures and will remain operational1.

The Group will continue to assess the impact of government directives on its business, and will provide updates on the Covid-19 situation to shareholders as well as any other material developments as soon as practicable.
