2) Reasons for the Difference
Net income increased over the previous fiscal year mainly due to a gain on sale of investment securities of 219.3 billion yen recorded in extraordinary income from sale of part of shares in DENSO CORPORATION and higher dividend income, although domestic certification related loss increased and an extraordinary loss of 49.3 billion yen was recorded with respect to this loss.
