DUESSELDORF, June 1 (Reuters) - Thyssenkrupp new chief executive on Thursday pledged there would be no let-up in the German conglomerate's turnaround efforts, saying the company would implement portfolio measures previously mapped out.

"The tasks ahead of me are clear: strengthening Thyssenkrupp in the area of Green Transformation, improving our performance and implementing the portfolio measures already started," Miguel Angel Lopez Borrego told staff in an internal video message seen by Reuters.

"It is also clear that we have to keep up the pace in the restructuring of thyssenkrupp. I can assure you of one thing: there will be no standing still with me," Lopez, who started his job on June1, said, adding the firm would continue its strategy.
