Sir Brian Ivory, Chairman, will step down from the Board of Scottish American Investment Co PLC at the conclusion of the AGM to be held on 4 April 2016. He will be succeeded by Peter Moon. Peter joined the Board in 2005, and was chief investment officer of The Universities Superannuation Scheme Limited until 2009.

The company announced a final dividend of 2.70 pence is recommended which will take the full year 2015 dividend to 10.70 pence per share, 1.9% higher than the 2014 dividend of 10.50 pence. If approved the final dividend of 10.70 pence will be paid on 5 April 2016 to all shareholders on the register at the close of business on 4 March 2016. The ex-dividend date is 3 March 2016.

The company reported unaudited preliminary earnings results for the full year ended December 31, 2015. For the period, the company has posted net return before finance costs and taxation was £23,926,000 against £22,007,000 a year ago. Net return on ordinary activities before taxation was £18,131,000 against £16,176,000 a year ago. Net return on ordinary activities after taxation was £17,499,000 against £15,290,000 a year ago. Net return per ordinary share was 13.17 pence per share against 11.53 pence per share a year ago. Net cash inflow from operating activities was £8,294,000 against £8,700,000 a year ago.

The company proposed amendments to the articles at AGM to be held on April 6, 2016.
