Kyocera Corp, Kaneshita Construction Co Ltd. and Omron Field Engineering Co Ltd. announced that they have built solar power plants with a total output of about 5 MW. The power producer of the plants is a special purpose company (SPC) invested in by Kyocera, Kaneshita Construction Co Ltd. and Omron Field Engineering Co Ltd. (OFE). Six power plants were built in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, with a total solar panel output of 4.948 MW.

The six plants are expected to generate 5,348 MWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 1,100 households, per year.
