Telkonet Appoints Gerrit Reinders to its Board of Directors of the U.S. Green Building Council

Telkonet, Inc. announced the appointment of Gerrit Reinders, LEED AP and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, to a two year term on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Green Building Council. With nearly 30-years experience in the clean-tech industry and an early adopter and promoter of green buildings and sustainability, Reinders is committed to being a catalyst for broad adoption and implementation of technologies and processes that improve the built environment, which lead to improved indoor and outdoor environments. Mr. Reinders is Executive Vice President of Telkonet and oversees its sales efforts and marketing programs. Prior to joining Telkonet, he was VP of Sales at Energy Focus Inc., where he helped the firm grow sales by 280% and before that he was with Johnson Controls Inc. for 18-years, a leading supplier of HVAC and control systems and services for commercial markets, most recently as Director of Global Energy and Sustainability Programs.
Telkonet, Inc. is a provider of the EcoSmart and Rhapsody Platforms of intelligent automation solutions designed to optimize energy efficiency and analytics in support of the emerging Internet of Things (IoT).
