Notice regarding construction of new plant in Thailand
Our consolidated subsidiary TBKK (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Thailand) is building a new plant to accommodate the expanded production of chiefly motor vehicle-related components, including water pumps, oil pumps, and brakes.
The new plant is being constructed with state-of-the-art, high-efficiency operations in mind, in Thailand's Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, where many Japanese component manufacturers have set up operations, and we plan to complete construction by September 2015 and be fully functioning in the first half of 2016.
This will enable us to enhance TBKK's production capacity approximately 1.5 times by 2018, and establish a highly competitive production system by increasing production efficiency and reducing lead time.
Thailand has become a world-class center in the automotive industry, and onsite demand for motor vehicle components is expected to continue to grow.
With the construction of this new plant, TBK Group will strengthen its product supply capacity within Thailand and the surrounding ASEAN region, and reinforce its supply system with products
that respond to local needs.
