Spring Bank Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. The Company is developing its product inarigivir soproxil (inarigivir), for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV). The Company's inarigivir selectively activates within infected hepatic cells the cellular protein, retinoic acid-inducible gene 1 (RIG-I), to inhibit viral replication and to cause the induction of intracellular interferon signaling pathways for antiviral defense. The Company also developing a second STING (STimulator of INterferon Genes) agonist product candidate, SB 11285, which is an immunotherapeutic agent for the potential treatment of selected cancers.
