Saint-Gobain announces that it has signed a five-year renewable electricity supply contract (PPA) in Romania with OMV Petrom, for around 800 GWh of electricity from wind and photovoltaic sources, starting in January 2026.

This contract, combined with a photovoltaic park in the final stages of development at the Calarasi glass plant, will cover 100% of Saint-Gobain's electricity needs in Romania, where it has 14 industrial sites.

This second PPA signed by Saint-Gobain in Romania will contribute to its strategy to reduce its carbon footprint in the country, in line with the building materials group's goal of zero net carbon emissions by 2050.
