Saga Communications, Inc. Appoints Christopher Forgy as Chief Executive Officer, Effective December 7, 2022

Saga Communications, Inc. announced the promotion of Christopher Forgy as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective December 7, 2022. This position became vacant following the passing of Edward K. Christian, the Company's former President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, on August 19, 2022. He will lead the company in continuing the strategy to acquire, develop and operate radio stations in unique markets where Saga can impact and connect with the communities where operate as Ed Christian directed since founding the Company in 1986.
Chris has served as Saga's Senior Vice President/Operations since 2018. Currently, Mr. Forgy serves as the Company's Senior Vice President of Operations. Mr. Forgy joined the Company in 1995 and served as Director of Sales for the Company's radio stations in Columbus, Ohio until 2006.
He left Saga from 2006 to 2011 to serve as General Manager of radio clusters for other broadcast companies. Mr. Forgy rejoined Saga as President and General Manager of the Columbus market where he served until being promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Operations in May 2018. Warren S. Lada has been serving as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company since August 21, 2022.
Mr. Lada was appointed to this role following the passing of Mr. Christian in August 2022.
Saga Communications, Inc. is a media company engaged in acquiring, developing, and operating broadcast properties with a focus on opportunities complimentary to its core radio business, including digital, e-commerce and non-traditional revenue initiatives. The Company owns or operates broadcast properties in about 27 markets, including 79 frequency modulation (FM), 31 amplitude modulation (AM radio stations and 78 metro signals. The radio stations that it owns and/or operates employ a variety of programming formats, including Classic Hits, Country, Classic Country, Hot/Soft/Urban Adult Contemporary, Oldies, Classic Rock, Rock, and News/Talk.
