(Alliance News) - Solid World Group Spa announced Thursday that it has received three orders totaling EUR1.2 million for its 3D printer that makes decorated fabrics, which has an economic value of about EUR400,00.

Selling it on the Italian market is subsidiary Energy Group Srl, based in Bentivoglio in the province of Bologna.

The orders received come from three companies operating in the fashion industry; for two of them, the installation of the printer has already taken place while the third installation is scheduled by July 2023.

The Stratasys J850 TechStyle 3D printer, the company explains in a note, "is equipped with 3DFashion technology and multi-material capabilities capable of making designs and decorations directly on fabrics. With this additive technology, luxury apparel, footwear and accessories can be made, offering results otherwise impossible with conventional production methods. All through Solid World Group's proprietary design and management software."

This is the comment of Solid World Group president Roberto Rizzo: "3D printing is now an advanced technology that can support businesses in various sectors. Luxury fashion is a driving sector for the world economy, and in this sector, too, 3D printing offers new and innovative possibilities for industry players."

Solid World Group's stock on Wednesday closed at a par at EUR5.04 per share.
