Heike Mensi-Klarbach will take over as head of Group Human Resources (HR) at Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) on 1 November 2019. The pronounced HR specialist with a focus on diversity and cultural change already knows RBI from a successful cooperation.

Hitherto, Mensi-Klarbach held an assistant professorship at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, WU) at the Institute for Gender and Diversity in Organizations. Prior to that, she was a visiting professor at Leibnitz University in Hanover for two years in the same field of research. Further stations in her academic career were the Department for Intercultural Communication and Management at Copenhagen Business School and a scholarship by the Austrian Academy of Sciences at WU.

Her professional expertise is documented by numerous publications in international academic journals and books, supplemented by numerous editorships of special issues and anthologies. Mensi-Klarbach regularly gives lectures, also in the context of banking and finance, with a focus on employee diversity. Furthermore, she is chair of the Gender and Diversity Management Faculty Group of the Global Alliance in Management Education (CEMS), a cooperation of world-leading business schools and universities with multinational companies and NGOs, as well as of the Strategic Interest Group Corporate Governance of the European Academy of Management, a European society for the advancement of the academic management discipline.
