Piraeus Bank SA appointed George Poulopoulos as deputy CEO and also named him the bank's acting CEO. Poulopoulos, who has been the group's CFO for the last six years, was named acting CEO after Stavros Lekkakos resigned from the position of interim CEO. Poulopoulos will remain acting CEO until a new CEO is appointed.

Lekkakos, who took on the interim CEO position in January, remains a member of the bank's board.
