At today's 42nd meeting of the Supervisory Board of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana, the supervisors unanimously agreed to the early termination of the term of office of Management Board President, Nada Drobne Popovic.

SaSo Berger, who was Management Board Member, was appointed as the new Management Board President and will take up the position on 23 November 2023.

The term of office of the outgoing President of the Management Board, Nada Drobne Popovic, who took over the position in October 2019, terminated early by way of mutual agreement. Nada Drobne Popovic will stay with the Company until the end of this year in order to hand over all tasks and duties. Upon the end of her term of office, she said that she is proud to hand over Petrol d.d., Ljubljana and the Petrol Group to her successor in an excellent financial condition despite the difficult and unpredictable challenges that she faced during her presidency, starting with the health crisis and continuing with the energy crisis. Under her leadership, the Company and the Petrol Group underwent organizational transformation, pursued the energy transition strategy, and consolidated their position as one of the strongest energy groups in the SE European market.

The Supervisory Board of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana appointed SaSo Berger as the new President of the Management Board for a period of five years. Prior to this, SaSo Berger was a Management Board Member who was responsible for B2B and B2G sales, electricity, natural gas, and IT. The other Management Board Members have stayed the same, that is, Matija Bitenc, Marko Nincevic, JoZe Smolic, and the Worker Director Zoran Gracner.

President of the Supervisory Board, Janez Zlak, thanked Nada Drobne Popovic for her excellent leadership of the Company and the Petrol Group during the extremely challenging and unpredictable period. Upon the appointment of SaSo Berger as the new President of the Management Board, Janez Zlak expressed confidence in his professional and leadership skills. He emphasized that SaSo Berger has vast experience and an in-depth understanding of both the Company and the Petrol Group and their activities, making him an excellent candidate to continue leading Petrol d.d., Ljubljana on its path to sustainable growth and energy transition.
