Peab has been commissioned to build a new swimming pool block in Partille Municipality. The customer is Partillebo and the contract is worth SEK 1.3 billion. The project consists of building a new swimming pool block containing a swimming pool facility, apartments, commercial space and parking garage in the borough Partille Port in central Partille.

The swimming pool facility will have room for both training and relaxing and include an exercise pool, two multi-pools with height adjustable bottoms and a family pool with a waterslide. The facility will also have a separate relax section with accompanying wellness area. Peab will also build 95 rental apartments along with commercial space in the swimming pool block.

A parking garage will be built next to, and under, the building. Placing the swimming pool facility next to Partille Arena is a natural way of expanding the area - an effort that began back in 2012. The swimming pool facility and parking garage will, like their neighbor Partille Arena, be powered by solar energy.

The swimming pool facility will reinforce Partille's position as one of Sweden's foremost sports cities by providing good opportunities for a broad spectrum of sports associations and be a meeting place for everyone who lives and works in Partille. The project is a turnkey contract and project planning will begin immediately. The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2024.

THE SWIMMING POOL BLOCK FACTS The following is included in Peab's swimming pool block commission: 10,000 m2 swimming pool facility, 1,000 m2 relax and accompanying wellness area, 1,000 m2 premises (facing Gamla Kron Street), 4,000 m2 commercial space, 11,000 m2 rental apartments, Parking garage directly south of the swimming pool block as well as under the apartments in the eastern section.
