Anne-Marie Couderc and Anne Asensio
Named to Plastic Omnium Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Compagnie Plastic Omnium has named two new members - Anne-Marie Couderc, Chief Executive Officer of Presstalis, and Anne Asensio, Vice President, Design Experience at Dassault Systèmes.

 

Anne-Marie Couderc, 60, has spent nearly her entire career in the media. She also served as Deputy Minister for Employment from 1995 to 1997, Deputy Mayor of Paris from 1989 to 2001 and Deputy to the French National Assembly representing Paris from 1993 to 1995. After beginning her career in 1973 as an attorney in Paris, she joined Hachette in 1982 in the media branch, which has since become Lagardère Active. She was appointed Deputy Managing Director in 1993 before entering the government to serve under Prime Minister Alain Juppé in 1995. In late 1997, she was appointed chief executive of Hachette's French magazine division and publication director of Paris Match and Journal du Dimanche. In 2007, she was named Secretary General of Lagardère Active. She has been Chief Executive Officer of Presstalis since August 2010.

 

Ms. Couderc is Officier de la Légion d'Honneur and Officier de l'Ordre National du Mérite.

 

Anne Asensio, 48, Vice President, Design Experience at Dassault Systèmes, spent her entire career in the global automobile industry until joining Dassault Systèmes in 2007. Hired by Renault Design in 1987, Ms. Asensio developed the interior and exterior style of many of the carmaker's models, in particular the Scenic, its compact MPV. She moved to General Motors in 2002 as executive director of the design team, responsible for brand quality and identity. She created the Cadillac Sixteen, Hummer, Saturn Curve and Chevrolet Volt concept cars, among others.

 

Ms. Asensio was named Automotive Woman of the Year in 1997 by Automotive News, which again cited her in 2008 as one of the 25 most influential women in the European automobile business.

 

Ms. Asensio is Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur.

 

Following these appointments, which are subject to approval by shareholders at the Annual Meeting on 28 April 2011, the Compagnie Plastic Omnium Board of Directors will be comprised of thirteen members, of whom three women and nine independent directors.
