Cable manufacturer Nexans reports standard sales of 1.69 billion euros for the first quarter of 2024, representing organic growth of 2.8% (+4.7% excluding 'other activities') year-on-year.

For its electrification activities, it claims organic growth of 6.7%, 'reflecting double-digit growth in the power generation and transmission business and an overall acceleration of trends in electrification'.

With a record adjusted order book of 6.7 billion euros in power generation and transmission, Nexans confirms its 2024 target for adjusted EBITDA of between 670 and 730 million euros and normalized free cash flow of between 200 and 300 million.
